Swans Adds Four Plaxton Profiles

Four new Dennis Javelins with 57-seat Plaxton Profile bodies are the latest additions to the growing fleet of premier Manchester coach operator Swans Travel.

"We have secured new private hire business," says Swans Travel managing director Kieran Swindells, "and felt it important to invest in new vehicles, which we are promoting as part of our 'Charter Class' fleet. One of the features of our marketing policy is to offer our customers different types of coaches with different specifications, including fully-seated vehicles.

"However we value our reputation for top-quality service, so it is important that whatever the specification the coach offers high standards of comfort and is, of course, air-conditioned."

Swans Travel took two high-capacity 70-seat Javelins in 2008 - it markets them as its XL Class - and was impressed by their performance and quality.

"The 70-seat Javelins have been good, reliable, coaches, and I have been very impressed with the quality of the Plaxton Profile body," Kieran Swindells continues. "So when it came to ordering a batch of 57-seaters the Plaxton Javelin combination was the obvious choice."

Swans Travel's four new Javelins have 300bhp Cummins ISBe Euro 4 engines and ZF automatic gearboxes.

Swans Travel operates 35 coaches from a modern depot on Broadway Business Park at Chadderton, adjacent to the M60 motorway and within easy reach of Manchester city centre. The company has been running coaches since 1978.
